We use Full Cream Milk because compared to a Skimmed Milk Formulation, less oil is needed when making a formula.

The Kendamil range of milk formulas are closer to nature due to their full cream milk content. The Full Cream Milk derived from farms in Cumbria and Lancashire ensures the formula has a more natural and sweeter taste. Grass derived milk contains high levels of Omega-3 which evidence shows decreases the chance of eczema, asthma and hay-fever.

We make great efforts to reduce the use of vegetable oils in our formulas which are a common cause of indigestion and constipation.

We formulate with full cream milk, matching the protein percentages found in human breast milk of 60% whey to 40% casein combined with the essential vitamins and minerals your baby needs. Mothers breast milk contains 51% saturated milk fat and full cream milk fat provides all the energy to help your infant grow strong and healthy. Those good mammal milk fats are the guiding blocks within the child’s brain, as the brain is made of more than 60% lipids= fats. The phospholipids and other micro nutrients within mammals full cream milk fats are necessary for brain and nervous system receptor functions.

We are committing to doing what’s best – for parents and for our environment. We do not use palm oil in our Milk Formulas. Whilst it is cheap and easy to cultivate palm oil, its production destroys rain-forests, drains carbon rich peat-land and violates human rights of workers and local communities. Setting aside the ecological effects, palm oil can also affect your child’s health as it has a different triglyceride structure to mammal’s milk fat which means that palm oils & palm fat can bind with calcium, causing soapiness in infant stomachs, constipation and reduced uptake of calcium.1

We are committed to ethically producing the most nutritious and wholesome Milk Formulas possible. We are working consistently to ensure that our formula is made using sustainable ingredients that are sourced ethically. Rather than using fish oil in our Kendamil formula to introduce Omega 3, we use Pure Marine Algae which is not only a vegetarian source of Omega 3, but it also helps to conserve fish stocks.

We have worked closely with Red Tractor to help us decide which farms would be best to supply our milk. Because of this, we know where all our milk comes from.
Red Tractor is the largest food scheme in the UK and covers all aspects of the food industry. The Red Tractor logo indicates that the way food is produced is regularly checked by independent experts and has been produced responsibly.

The Red Tractor insists on rigorous production standards from farms. They don’t allow growth hormones or antibiotic residues, just quality milk at its best.

We have worked closely with Red Tractor to help us decide which British farms are best equipped to supply our milk. This means we can directly trace where all of our milk comes from. Our specially trained co-ordinators monitor every step of the milks journey to be certain that the farms are working to highest standard.

We make sure that the farmers we source from take care of their animals, and visit every farm to be sure that only the best skilled people are looking after the livestock. We assure that the animals have suitable space to roam and that they are provided with appropriate food and water to be healthy.

Our range of milk formulas and cereals are regulated and approved. We monitor every batch of our products and conduct regular testing and inspection. Our milk formulas and cereals are manufactured under BRC Grade AA standards, the highest food quality BRC grading achievable.
